MTRC provides strategic consultancy services to Developers and Owners of Mass Timber buildings wishing to secure equitable Construction and Property Insurance.
MTRC provides consultancy services for project delivery partners focusing on the insurability of a project and the evolving risk mitigation strategies they can employ to achieve equitable Construction and Property Insurance.
MTRC provides consultancy services to both Brokers and Underwriters to help them understand the evolving landscape of the use of Mass Timber in the built environment. MTRC also provides strategic services to help both parties better serve their existing and future clients needs.
MTRC is active across a number of stakeholder forums, seminars and conferences, both as a research function but also as a point of expertise regards the UK and worldwide Construction and Property insurance market.
MTRC does not provide insurance advice and is not an insurance Broker or an Insurer. You should always discuss your insurance needs with your authorised broker.
MTRC was founded in 2022 as a direct response to the frustrations our clients were experiencing around the insurability and lack of knowledge regards the use of Mass Timber in our built environment.
Philip, the founder of MTRC, has 19 years of experience as a Construction Insurance Broker and Underwriter. Having worked for Marsh, Aon and WTW, across the London, Singapore and Hong Kong markets, he has expert knowledge around the strategy required to secure an equitable outcome when arranging project insurances.
Prior to founding MTRC, Philip spent the last 2.5 years as an underwriter for Chase Global UK, specifically researching and developing the UK's first Mass Timber Construction Insurance Facility.
Our subject matter expertise, deep understanding of the insurance broking and underwriting markets, and our passion to help drive the UK's transition to a Net Zero economy, mean that MTRC is both unique in knowledge and passion to ensure our clients can build and operate Mass Timber buildings here in the UK.
